WINNER of our March/April ‘What Would You Do’ contest!

Canadian Contractor

Congratulations to Joseph Mizzi of Perfect Painting in Windsor Ontario!

Here was the situation: Robert, an inner city renovator, was threatened with a neighborhood blockade of his trucks entering a rear lane-way, important for access and delivery of materials. While the angry neighbors cited a 1920’s-era bylaw prohibiting delivery vehicles, Robert was faced with a dilemma of how to deal with their aggression, or being forced to find another way to move men and materials through the site, costing him time and money.

DCF6201_4There were many excellent analyses of Robert’s situation received, almost all recommending a sit-down discussion with the client and the complaining neighbors. However, Joseph Mizi not only recognised Robert’s responsibilities regarding his lack of due diligence at the outset of the project, but in addition laid out a detailed strategy to not only better understand the legalities claimed by the neighbors, but also a course of action that would mitigate and control the situation to everyone’s satisfaction going forward.

Joseph wins the contest prize:
a DeWalt 20V Max XR Cordless Drywall Gun, including attachment
(retail value $378)

There’s a new “What would you do?” dilemma contest coming soon!
Stay tuned and maybe you will win a fabulous prize, courtesy of DeWalt!
